Where to Consult about Coronavirus Discrimination

Nationwide Consultation Service for Anyone         

AMDA International Medical Information Center (03-6233-9266)

Here, one can seek consultation in regards to troubles related to the novel coronavirus. 

Languages supported: English, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Thai, Spanish, Vietnamese, Portuguese, UPDATE 2021 April 9th
Times of operation: (Updated 2020 May 24th) Mon-Fri from 10:00~16:00

Telephone Consultation Service for Foreign Workers

This is a consultation service for foreign nationals working in Japan.

Phone numbers differ depending on the language.
Languages supported: English, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Burmese, Nepali, UPDATE 2021 April 9th: Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Cambodian, Mongolian
Times of operation: Mon~Fri from 10:00~15:00 (excluding 12:00~13:00)

Consultations are free, but there is a call charge. Calling fees are ¥8.5 (including tax) per 180 seconds from landline phones and ¥10 (including tax) per 180 seconds from mobile phones.

Working Condition Consultation Hotline

This is a free hotline for the consultation of working conditions in languages other than Japanese, on days and times when the Labour Office is closed. 

Phone numbers differ depending on the language. 
Languages supported: Japanese, English, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Burmese, Nepali, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Khmer, Mongolian
Times of operation: Weekdays 17:00~22:00 / Weekends and public holidays 9:00~21:00

JNTO Call Center (050-3816-2787)

This call center helps foreign tourists in Japan during emergency situations, and is open for consultation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Questions relating to cancellation fees for hotels and those related to issues with health, etc can be consulted here.

Times of operation: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

This is a service for those foreign nationals who have faced discrimination, injustices, bullying, or harassment in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a free consultation helpline for those with any worries or matters of distress.

This is a consultation center operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. You can consult this center for free about any concerns or problems in day-to-day life due to the novel coronavirus infection. 

Languages supported: Simple Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Nepali, Indonesian, Tagalog, Thai, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Khmer, Burmese
Open hours: Weekdays (Mon-Fri) 10:00~17:00

Tokyo Multilingual Consultation Navi (TMC NAVI) Hotline

This is a Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation “TSUNAGARI” phone-based service. Concerns relating to COVID-19 infections (financial troubles, schools or education, about jobs, illnesses or health, etc) are welcome.
